If you have a husband or significant other, have the repairman come on S.O's day off.
Repairmen have the same problem we do. They can go on a job, and think it won't take long, but then, boom, a problem. That is why they are late a lot, and that's why they can't tell you how long it's going to take. Kind of like picking up a 3-minute report and it taking a hour because of a mess you weren't expecting.
I do not like anyone in my house without my husband here. Gives me the creeps, unless I know them really well.
