Operations Manager – Medical Scribe Company - Medical Documentation Department

SharpScribe (www.SharpScribe.com) is seeking a FULL-TIME Operations Manager to oversee a pool of medical scribes/medical transcriptionists (“Scribes”).  This is NOT a traditional transcription/dictation model, thus Operations Manager has to be well versed in various aspects of medical documentation, including BOTH delayed documentation & real-time documentation. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Implementing new Providers to our scribe service, including deploying creativity & adaptability in constructing a documentation process to fit the Providers needs and workflow
• Working with new Providers to create templates, documentation & workflow instructions
• Training new Scribes on our technology platform/processes and matching them to Providers/clients (1:1 Provider/Scribe relationship)
• Overseeing the Scribe pool to ensure work is completed accurately and in a timely fashion
• Ensuring Scribes are adhering to HIPAA regulations

Qualifications:

• 10+ years as a medical documentation manager
• 10+ years as a Medical Transcriptionist
• Knowledge of various EMR’s and dictation/transcription platforms
• Tech savvy
• Experience in hiring & training Scribes
• Experience in working with and communicating with Providers (clients), first-hand
• Ability to multi-task, work in high pressure environment, set priorities amongst multiple requests, and meet strict timelines
• Ability to work autonomously without much oversight 
  
  

Location & Compensation:

• Within 100 miles of Chicago, IL; candidates outside this geographic range will likely NOT be considered seriously
• Remote/work-from-home position, with once/weekly in-person management meetings required
• Starting annual compensation of $30,000 - $45,000, contingent on qualifications/experience and other factors. Compensation may be adjusted upward upon meeting certain milestones
• No benefits included at this time
• Full-time position only – will NOT consider part-time applicants
