due to the $.01 a line pay. I have no regrets doing that because QA has to answer to multiple people MTs and management, and that kind of pay is ridiculous.

It's okay as long as you're only filling in blanks and not having to read the entire report for accuracy.

$.01 a line can be next to nothing pay when you have an inexperienced MT who requires full QA, an MT who is unfamiliar with a specialty or account or has a difficult ESL where the QA person has to practically retype the reports. Then, a QA person becomes an MT who's working for $.01 a line.

Plus, in the circumstance where you have an MT on full QA, you must know the specs for each account pretty accurately or else you can't train the MT correctly.
