VDI - Been in your shoes

Posted: Mar 18th, 2019 - 4:52 pm In Reply to: What kind of specs do you need for VDI? I assume every company - has their own specific numbers but SM

It depends what platform you are using somewhat, but you need a lot of memory as they make you load windows 7 professional (old and not supported by microsoft) and all kinds of tunnels to feign "safety". A complete joke and unnecessary expense for us but if you want to work you have to do it. Even those who don't admit to using VDI, if they say dedicated computer or windows 7 professional you can bet you're going to be using it. Very slow and cumbersome but once you get it--doable. I'm a year away from retirement and I can do it, so you surely can. Good luck.
