Welcome to the forum. Since I was also trained in 1980, but at a "Jr" college, now known as being a community college, I do understand how things have changed and how easy it is to find yourself lost in all the new technology. I don't know anything about MedVoice but I want to wish you luck. Maybe if you take the job, even if you don't earn much, it will help you ease into the new reality of transcription and at least carry you to the age of 62 where you could take early Social Security?
