For those of you who work at the larger companies/MTSOs... - sparky Posted: Jun 5th, 2018 - 4:12 pm
...have any of you had any good tricks for getting your employer to put pressure on dictators to churn out better quality dictations? These are dictators have a habit of mumbling through their dictations, often slurring/mashing 2 or 3 critical words together and making it generally difficult to understand what they're saying. I could mark every one of the questionable spots for QA and let them deal with it, but for the really bad dictators, it takes time to mark everything and explain what the problems are to QA. Sometimes old reports edited/transcribed by others are helpful, but it's hard to trust that they're hearing the dictation correctly. And of course, it's the MTs that get in trouble when errors are found. I have complained to supervisors and QA to no avail.
