AST used to be called AssistMed. You can look for info on them here in the archives, but truthfully, they are no better than the big 2. They operate much the same way. Pay is 7/3 and will never increase. most of their accounts are ESL, and difficult ones at that. Their accounts are pooled, and cherry picking is rampant, which they do not care about. As long as you stay on their good side, work load is okay, but they do tend to over hire, as most of their "shifts" include the weekend and they have trouble covering those days. If you get on their bad side, plan on being squeezed out by diminishing work load. Hope this helps.
