This and that - roseisrose

Haven't visited this site for a while so maybe the subject has been discussed to death, but:  Is it within the realm of possibility to unify account specifics among providers/MTSOs?  My main account went back to on-site transcription (yay for them!).  A new account was assigned, basically clinic and outpatient care; easy-peasy work, BUT the account specifics are 15+ pages long.  IMHO, this is totally unnecessary, yet for the past 25 years, I've seen clients' wants increase to a ridiculous level.  C'mon, folks.  Yeah, avoiding dangerous abbreviations is a must as are a few (very) other items.  But "3 to 4" vs "3-4", capitalized (or not) departments, "times 3," "x 3" or "x3"?  Anything other than what's in the Book of Style or an MTSO's standard is, again IMO, excess.

Okay, that is all; as you were.
