disposing of old computers - aerochickie

Hello there! I have an old desktop that I need to dispose of, and I can't remember how to securely scrub the hard drive to protect the patients' privacy. Does anyone have a link with proper protocol? I've been searching the net, and there is all kinds of 411 out there...
