I'm baffled that not a few but MOST transcription companies, even those who are hiring never respond to applications and resumes. I've been an MT longer than most who work in this industry and now find the door is shut on employment even before an interview or testing (which by the way I find ridiculous). Timing couldn't be worse to be unemployed. I'm moving to a very small town with no brick and mortar job opportunities. I enjoy working as an MT/editor but it makes no sense to hit my head against the wall trying to make it happen anymore.
