your permission???? You think they wouldnt hesitate to get an attorney if one of us did that, or contacted a client, or any other breach of contract or expected confidentiality??

You know nothing of this other person or their company.

An attorney may tell you there's nothing you can do until your identity or information is compromised, but you can sure the H tell both parties that you've contacted your attorney because you're unhappy about this invasion of your privacy, etc, etc.

I would, but that's just me.
