I am doing an appendectomy and the physician dictates the "cushieri" grasper, then goes on to spell it Cucheieri (we all know how dependable physicians' spelling can be!)  I cannot find a reliable reference for this word...any help would be greatly appreciated.  ...

Context:  The peritoneal cavity was entered under direct vision.  A s/l *sound* port was placed in this site, and the abdomen was insufflated with CO2.    I can't find verification of this.  Help?  ...

It sounds like he is saying serosonic device.  looking at all the old reports it is Sonicision device.  BUT he is NOT saying that.  When I listened to the old report just to see if he just does not pronounce it correctingly, I hear the Sonicision in that report.  In my report, he is clearly saying ____ sonic device.  not harmonic.  not sonicision.
