Deactivation of passwords - Former Nuance MT

Posted: Oct 14, 2014

I quit Nuance 2 weeks ago with no notice given.  When it was time to approve my WebClock lines/hours, I could not sign in.  TSM told me that once you leave without giving notice your passwords, etc. are automaticallly deactivated.  Funny, though, 'cause I could still sign into Emdat and look at the pool!  Now what sense does it make to block an MT out from approving the final pay period line count, just because she didn't give notice?  Are they going to punish me by not paying me my last check?  I don't think so, or they will be hearing from some legal people.  So, my TSM never got back to me, which knowing her as I have come to know her, is not surprising.  I guess I will see if I get paid on Friday and go from there.  Just a prime example of how this company thinks, or doesn't think.   So for those of you leaving for another company and not sure if you should give a 2-weeks' notice, I wouldn't bother.  God help you if you feel you would ever need to come back to this den of vipers.  If a new place doesn't work out, keep looking, keep moving forward--don't turn around and go back to Nuance, no matter how bad things get.  It is like selling your soul to satan!

I gave a notice, and it happened to me - SM

I asked my lead how much of a notice she wanted me to give and did as she asked (one week). I, too, was locked out of WebClock as soon I finished my last shift. I think it's just one of those idiotic things Nuance does.

I gave a two week notice - Sallie

and was locked out that day without so much as a word. Locked out of email, webclock, everything. Not one word.

I did get paid but did not get my PTO.

Of course you're going to be - Locked out

Whether you give notice or what. All companies do that. It's not a "Nuance thing"

Then how are you supposed to work - out your notice?

If you can't log in? Ridiculous, I do not agree that all companies do that. It's like if you had a real, physical job where you gave two weeks notice and they took away your key to get in or something.

I have heard others say there was no problem working out their notice, so just wondering why these people are being locked out.

They say they were locked out at the end of their last shift not that they couldn't work out their notice. So of course they were locked out when they finished.
With that being said any company that handles what could be classified as sensitive or confidential files such as medical documents or say accounting files often will not let workers work out their notice.
Sorry - My bad

I had not realized that. I thought they meant as soon as they gave notice. Doh.

I am paranoid enough now, if I knew I had 2 weeks I would have made copies and kept records of everything I possibly before even giving the notice, but I guess not everybody thinks like that.

Too Many Passwords
Mar 24, 2010

Am I just getting senile or are there too many passwords to keep up with?  Password for DoQScribe, password for report look-up, password for Schedule Source, password for MQ Central, etc. and then they all want you to update until your password reaches "numnut1bajillion."  I am going to have to do the no-no and make myself a list I think.  Like who in my family wants to "steal" my MedQuist passwords anyways?  Maybe somebody from India has a camera on me and wants my pass ...
