e-mail regarding LANDESK - anon

Got e-mail stating that this will need to be downloaded on my computer. Anybody familiar with this? What is the purpose of it?

Does anyone have this on the PERSONAL computer,,not so sure I want it on mine, in which case, I will request a company computer

This just tells who owns it and corporate lingo. It does not really tell what the functions are. I came across the info as well and was looking for something, I guess, more that I could understand. Not a tech person myself. I always wonder about this stuff.

this is my computer, it looks like big brother watching..plus what if I put it on my computer and it gunks it up and makes it not work correctly

This wsa the info I was looking for. So, am I to believe this is not spyware and "they" are not monitoring me? It's only for IT help?

You have to e-mail your TSM you have installed it. Sorry ladies/gents see no way around it if you want to work for them.

Your right there is no way around them watching what you do..Bet my line counts would go up because I wouldnt be taking breaks on email and here,,so send me a company computer, I will install it and the second I find another job I will send it back to you, because bet my bottom dollar, I am now looking hard

who to send emails to requiring it be downloaded, then it's spyware and they'll know. I wish they would tell us what all it will be used for. If it's simply for tech support, then we could download it at the time we ever need tech support... though I know more about computers than any of their techs.

That's what it looks like to me anyway. It also includes antivirus protection. I've been using it for at least a year with no problems whatsoever.

It says it runs constantly in the background and runs a daily scan and reports the results to see which hardware and software you have, etc. I use an old dinosaur computer & I really can't handle yet another thing running in the background all day. An unnecessary thing at that.

Did anyone besides myself have an issue with the ihnstallation? I was able to get into Inner Circle without a problem; however, the screen shot sent looks nothing like what I was looking at after logging in. All I had was a long list and upon clicking on any of them, not one thing happened. Hovering over Resources did not do a thing, clicking on any of the tabs did not do a thing. What a pain. I'm not sure, but it seems to me that this whole issue came around about a year ago, telling us we must install it, and upon looking into it, it was my impression that it would allow MM to track everywhere we go on our computers, so I didn't install it. I asked for a company computer, and the matter was eventually dropped until now. I don't know what to do. ...

Not that I really WANT to hear from the Q, but am I the only one who does not have e-mail still? I can log into MQ Central fine, click the "my community" button, and the regular e-mail page does come up but with only four boxes at the top (no e-mail list). Doubt he will even read it but if he does, it was nice knowing all of you. I did not use any bad language, but I did speak my mind.
