from a supervisor with a typo or a word spelled incorrectly or misuse of a word. I want so much to send a reply stating "Failed audit!" And where does the doctor's responsibility come in? I can't believe how poor some of their grammar is and how they mix up genders throughout the report. It's unbelievable how much we have to correct to make them look good. And how many times do they mix their singular and plural tenses? I just wonder how many reports from any given transcriptionist QA has to go through before they find a document that they can throw back with a "Failed Audit." I have a feeling they keep looking until they find something. Things that I've done for years (styles, etc.) that were okay are all of a sudden WRONG. This nit-picking is total harassment.

It seems as though MM is just looking for ways to dock our pay and I for one seem to be scratching our head constantly wondering what the rule of the day is. I am not a gambler because I usually do not win and every day I work seems to be a gamble with the horrible dictators, audio issues, NJA, etc., all things that affect production and not meeting line count, difficult dictators and failing audits, performance mgmt and being docked for that as well as being docked to use QA if we do need help. It's getting incredibly difficult to meet even the min that is expected. I am tired and feel abused.

[ In Reply To ..]Not only do they keep looking until they find something, I believe they also invent something when they can't find it. For example, adding a letter to a word to make it "wrong". There is no way to fight this and they do it in order to make sure your percentage goes down.
Audits - Former MME
[ In Reply To ..]I quit M2 a couple months ago, but I used to perform audits to help my QC with her workload of audits that needed doing. I think this was before they started using auditors for this.
Anyway, for audits, we were supposed to grade 5 files. I would grab a file and look it over and if I found any big errors, I would throw it back. Yes I would throw it back and take another file and another until I found reports with only minor errors. I HATED the idea of giving someone a failing audit and possibly assisting in getting someone fired.
I also never took points off for minor stuff like punctuation or capitalization. Those errors are supposed to be feedback only and not points off.
I am sure there are auditors who get a thrill out of finding reports with critical and major errors, but I did what I could to only give passing grades.

[ In Reply To ..]Kudos to Former MME, but that just proves that if you can pick and choose what reports to QA other MMEs can do the same, only they can LOOK FOR MAJOR ERRORS until they find them. God I'm so glad I was laid off from this hole.

[ In Reply To ..]I should add that at the time I did auditing, we were still on the FutureNet platform (not Fluency yet). Not sure if that makes a difference as far as being able to pick and choose reports. But on FutureNet, as long as I made no changes to the report, I could view it and throw it back.
MMEs don't score or audit - sm
[ In Reply To ..]The reports you get back with a score are either from the auditing team or your QC. An MME isn't allowed to do any scoring. Former MME was just helping out her QC, so she was an exception.

[ In Reply To ..]On upload it asks an extra question, and sometimes I hit yes when I should hit no. This may result in the report being "scored," but since I'm not in Auditing, the report doesn't actually count for score. Be sure to double check if you're seeing score that the report was actually done by QA and not some quick-fingered MME who oopsed.

[ In Reply To ..]I cringe every time I get one. On my accounts that I do, most do not even know how to pronounce medications correctly. I have one that laughs the whole way through the report - so unprofessional! Another one changes his mind so much that I don't know what to leave in or what to take out. My luck, I leave it out, it was supposed to stay in! I know it's not just the PAs that do this on all accounts, but in my situation, they are the worst!!!

[ In Reply To ..]On the account I'm presently on there are a few people that have speech impediments. If they are taking their time and not rushing through their dictation, I can understand them fine, but when they dictate a mile a minute then I lose them. The difference between sending a report to QA or leaving a lot of blanks is just a matter of a few seconds if they would just slow down just a bit.

Not that I really WANT to hear from the Q, but am I the only one who does not have e-mail still? I can log into MQ Central fine, click the "my community" button, and the regular e-mail page does come up but with only four boxes at the top (no e-mail list). Just received e-mail from corporate stating that as they had previously stated they would be rearranging management, ccm's, etc. It went on to state that if you had been reassigned to a new CCM they would be contacting you in the future, but Thank GOD at the bottom it lists who your CCM will be and I am lucky enough to have the same CCM who I love and has always been good to me.
