Payroll System Conversion - Annoyed

What ever happened to the first time right philosophy? There have been at least 3 emails sent out about the payroll system conversion, then another 3 emails to correct the originals. Now I just received a "Recall" on the latest email about the payroll system conversion. Totally annoying! I wish MQ corporate practiced what they preached.

I certainly needed a laugh today and that email made me chuckle. Apparently we stupid MTs weren't supposed to see this super secret email. Ah yes and that "recall email" of course made me forget I saw it- like Men in Black, right?

Lets not forget this is the same payroll department who notified part of the people about the third check in December and then forgot about the rest. I am imagining them scrambling around trying to figure out who is getting laid off after the payrolls from Spheris and MQ combine.

Wouldn't that be great if we could do that too? - haha

I used WP5.1 and convert to Word. I know it is old school, but I am much faster using the DOS program. I had no problems with it until last night. Not sure if an update ran or what, but now when I convert the document from WP5.1 to Word all the tabs disappear. Also, I use Sylcount for WP5.1 and I have a few girls that help me type who type in Word so I convert the word document to a WP5.1 file to save for counting purposes, even though it is sent to the doctor ...

Today the payroll dept made a mistake and everyone who was working got clocked off in error. Now CCM wants us to go in and fix it ourselves. ...where is all this changing the dates of the quarter coming from? I took the time to logon to Enrich (shocking, I know....had to look up my password) and just downloaded the payroll calendar that is currently on there. At the bottom it clearly states that the dates for 2014 Quarter 1 are Jan 1 to March 31. Am I missing something? I want these dates to still be correct as much as anyone...just wondering where the freakout came from. I'm sure someone will just say I'm naive....fine. ...

Some KSMTs posted they got paid today, some got paid on the 1st. This tells me this was not an issue with late line counts or the payroll guru asking them to kindly roll payroll ahead a few days. Truth has to be they do not have the money available to make payroll and had to pick and choose who to pay based on the money available. I live in Chicago Illinois. Like many of you, I am production but get payed so little a line even making 160 lines an hour I make minimum wage for my "state" which is currently $8.25 (pretty sad).
