Transcend MLS site - tired MT

Did you know that when you log into the MLS site you have to download a tracking cookie/activex control. That is so they can track when you are doing your job and when you are surfing the web. I only activate it when visiting the MLS site and then I deactivate it after leaving the site so they can't know what I am doing.

how to get in to the website - MLS ID?

I went to the website and went to register for new user sign up. It asks for MLS ID and then email address. I have no idea what my MLS ID is. :(

We have not been told how to get into that site yet, and I have been told by my TL that some of them do not have access yet.

wHEN I FIRST LOG ON THERE IS A BAR AT THE TIME THAT APPEARS THAT SAYS TO CLICK HERE TO INSTALL THE TRACKING TOOL. aT LEAST ON MY COMPUTER, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS AND IT WON'T LET ME INTO THE SITE UNLESS I DOWNLOAD IT. WHEN YOU ARE DONE, GO TO THE TOOLS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE ON THE TOOLBAR. gO TO MANAGE ADD-ONS AND ON MY COMPUTER THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT OPTIONS, GO TO THE ONE THAT SAYS ACTIVEX CONTROLS, THIS WILL BRING UP ALL THE ACTIVEX CONTROLS. YOU WANT THE ONE THAT SAYS TRANSCEND TRACKING, HIGHLIGHT IT AND AT BOTTOM IT SAYS TO DISABLE IT.

When I log into the site I never get the message to install anything - but thanks for the info because I never knew about the Active X and it is listed enabled. I also noticed I have something in there that says SWTrackerCTL.ucTracker, which is enabled. Maybe I do not get the message to install because it is already enabled?? Pretty sneaky of them, huh. As far as logging into the site - I type my user ID name, JSmith, which is the user ID name I use to log into my platform and my password is the same as the login to the platform as well. You can find your MSL ID number on your paycheck - if not I would contact HR. Thanks for sharing the info about the tracking BS. We all need to look out for each other :)

I have this too: SWTrackerCTL.ucTracker but Transcend is in it too so i know it is transcend that I am disabling.

I noticed the other day when I was on this board everytime I would click from one post or thread to another an security warning would pop up wanting me to install adobe player -but interestingly it only did it when I was logged into my work platform. The message also warned about installing adobe would keep track of certain cookies from web sites I visited - so needless to say when I am online I make sure I am not logged onto my platform - do not really know if this has anything to do with Transcend or not, but it makes me suspicous.

Ive been suspicious of that for a long time with my co. - s/m

I've reached the point with them where I don't really care. If they have so little to do there that they're spending their days monitoring websites we go to, and what we say on them, then if they happen to read something about themselves they don't like, too darn bad.

It just tracks software licensure for their programs. - Relax .. nm

Transcend is sneaky, underhanded, and I have yet to get a straight story out of anyone. I actually caught my supervisor in 4 lies in 1 conversation one day. If they are so ashamed of what they do that they have to lie, why are they in business? And these supervisors - no wonder the world is in the state it is in. They are teaching their kids to lie, cheat and steal just like they are doing. What a great example!

posted about never would they work for 7 cpl as IC. It must be nice to be able to choose your pay. I have personally been so close to being homeless more than a few times that I grab what I can when I can. I am always looking for the better-paying job. A long time ago before my computer crashed I used to have a website I went to often if I could only make out a few letters in a medication and if those were in the middle of the drug. Example - if the drug was Sandostatin and I could only make out "and" or "stat", I'd type in and or stat and the site would bring up all drugs with those letters in them.
