Phoenix Med-Com - CG

Posted: May 08, 2014

Does anyone know anything about the company Phoenix Med-Com, pay rate, platform etc?  Thanks!

The last I was aware they used Emdat Inscribe - and the pay was 8 cpl; however,

Emdat uses "canned" lines or lines that are already in the report when you pull it up and for those you get 2 cpl, and I think the line rate of 8 cpl depended on how many lines you are contracted for, so it could be less.

I'm not a fan of Emdat personally. They do pay on time I believe direct deposit. They require at least 600 lines per day but you can do more. You might think 600 lines, how easy, but with the platform and looking up patient's, filling in demographics etc., 600 can take a while.

But overall the way transcription companies are these days, I don't think it would be so bad to apply and work there. I think they were really nice people. Like any company, do your lines, show up and they leave you alone. I also remember the testing to be really easy. QA was also not a nightmare if that helps.

Good luck!

I just applied there - MA

Hoping I hear back! It sounds right up my alley.

Phoenix Medcome pay scale states a line rate for "templated lines".  What does this entail?  Is it only the template that comes in with the job itself?  Rates seem a little low.  Does anyone work there that can confirm a line rate increase, incentive pay, or something of the sort?    Thanks- ...

I saw this company in a job posting and want to try a more flex schedule. Phoenix Medcom - Business Card From Each IC
Jun 12, 2012

Phoenix Medcom requires a business card from each IC contracting with them.  I was an IC many years ago and didn't even have a contract then; have been an employee ever since that time.  So, do each of you who work as an IC have business cards?  And whose contract is it - yours of the company's?  Thanks.  (and if it's the IC's contract, where do you obtain that?) ...
