Depositions are like interviews - former legal

Transcription services these days want people who have a wide range of knowledge in multiple areas. The services may take on a wide range of work. I trained for legal transcription in a law office and then worked for online companies transcribing at various times depositions, court hearings, jail interviews, undercover agent actions, telephone interviews with insurance clients, attorney correspondence, attorney legal documents. I learned medical transcription along the way, so I can't claim to have switched from medical to legal. It was the other way around. Some legal interviews are in a law office. Some are in a restaurant. Some may be via phone or these days Zoom. There can be a wide range of audio quality depending on the clients the transcription company has. Medically-related legal transcription can be great for MTs, except when it is not.
