Social Security - payments

Posted: Jan 9th, 2017 - 8:17 am In Reply to: Social Security retirement at 62 - and working part time

I took retirement at 65 and am working PT. I saw a financial advisor. Even if you keep working after taking SS, it will make no difference in your SS payments going up. Say you go at 62 and get for example $1,200 a month. This will not increase over time. It stays the same. If you don't take SS until say 70 and keep working, then you will be getting say $2,000 a month for example.
