voke potentials (volk, volked, volt ???) - mt

Posted: Apr 10, 2010

I am at a loss here and wonder if anyone would know what this would be.  History is a patient had a foraminotomy of C4-5.  Doctor told the patient he is very happy about the rapid improvement of strength.  Then he says -

The doctor who performed the surgery told me during the surgery that the voke potentials that were being monitored improved as the decompression was completed, which is always a very good sign of success.

I cannot find the word voke or something similar.  Slowing it down it could be volked or voped.  I'm just at a loss and wonder if someone would know what this might be.

Thank you.

Evoked potentials.

Thank you to both replies of evoked. I was thinking evoked - but I could not tell

if that word fit into the sentence. I kept looking at the meaning by itself and tried to fit it in. Guess I was analyzing it too much and my brain just quit.

Thank you.
