testicles/testes - always home

Posted: Jul 13, 2011

I was wondering if someone could explain to me the difference between testicles and testes when used in a sentence. ex: The testicles are normal.  Is this correct? Some of my resources say testes is plural of testicle, but if so why does "testicles" have the s at the end? Thanx so much for any help.

My resources tell me testes if plural and testis is singular, called also orchis and testicle - do not find where

it states that testicles is plural for testis. Testicle is just another word for testis. I would type the word as dictated.
