tarsonavicular vs. tarsal navicular - Gina B.

Posted: Jul 29, 2014

Hi Everyone,

just wondering the collective take on tarsonavicular versus tarsal navicular.  I know that we have always separated it in the past, however, my md continuously runs them together.

Now that we are in EMR, is there a standard?

Tarsonavicular is okay...SM - Old Anon

It's in Stedman's as one word and also appears in legitimate websites as one word. If he dictates it as one word, that's probably how he wants it transcribed.

I've always used tarsonavicular, many, many years. - passing through. NM

thank you all so much! I appreciate it! After 12 years of strictly ortho, you would think that an EMR spell check program would not throw me off.
