strep cellulitis - Tracey

The patient has "strep cellulitis". Is this the way this should be typed or should I expand to Streptococcus?

If you are on a verbatim account, do not expand unless you are told to do so. On every verbatim account I've had, the only time I was allowed to expand is if the term appears under the Diagnosis or Assessment section of the report... then all abbreviations are expanded. : )

Per Stedman's Pathology & Lab book, it is group B Streptococcus, but is it group B strep and also is it group B streptococcal meningitis. When it is a variation of the word "Streptococcus," we don't cap, right? TIA!!!! ...
