sl/felfolic acid - MFH-7

This is a psychiatric evaluation. The patient is being discharged and on the list of medications is sl/felfolic acid. I am familiar with folic acid, as I take it myself and I found folinic acid but it does not seem to fit and the dictator diffenently says "folic.

sl/ fel - folic acid 125 mm t.i.d.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Could be valproic acid..sm - Babs

This is used to treat convulsions, seizures, etc. Since it's a psych eval....

It well could be folic acid if the pt is an alcoholic. They give folic acid and thiamine as supplements. I do quite a bit of psych transcription. Doses are usually 100 mg qd, but folic could be 125 mg.

The patient is not an alcholic. Just a little 10-year-old boy with ADHD.The 125 mg were the same dosage on the tape. I know that I am hearing the folic acid. Anyway I left it blank. Thank you very much for your help.

Thank you so much for your help. I do not believe that this is right. I looked it up and it was dealing with seizures but no mention was made of the boy having any. Thought it would be safer to just leave it blank although I did leave the folic acid. I really appreciated your helping. When the results come back I'll post what it was.
