situs inversus abdominalis .. - NoNo

Posted: Jan 15, 2010

I am doing a lap cholecystectomy on a patient with situs inversus abdominalis and additionally complicated medical conditions including eyelet cell transplantation.  The surgeon is renowned, ELS, and talking about identifying what the "sounds like" cholaticus (cho-lit or lat-i-cus or cis). Can you help?

Could it be cholascos? sm - Cathy

Rarely used term for escape of bile into the free peritoneal cavity.

Also, it would be islet cell transplantation, not eyelet cell.

cholascos - NoNo

I do know islet cells, also. How could I?

Thank you!

he is saying - NoNo

"cascade" of mistakes! Just like in disease. Can't do anything right.

Thank you, Cathy!

Hi, that would have been "islet cell" relating to pancreas....sm - Cyndiee
