pneumotoscopy or pneumo otoscopy or pneumo-otoscopy - Haylee

Posted: Feb 11, 2010

I am just wondering what the correct what to write this is. I have had a hard time finding much information on it and i can't find it in a dictionary.

Is it supposed to be pneumotoscopy, pneumo otoscopy, pneumo-otospcopy

Several options. - MTMom

There is such a thing as a pneumonoscopy, and pneumo is lungs, but more often used is bronchoscopy. There is an otoscopy, which is looking in the ears. They wouldn't be one word. Hope this helps.

pneumoscopy - Haylee

Do you happen to have a link or anything that justifies "pneumonoscopy" because i can't find that online either. This is an ENT report. The doc says, "The T-tubes appear to be in place, patent, and dry, even by pneumoscopy."

Haylee - I was incorrect, it is pneumoscopy that you are looking for. It is an exam using air in the eardrum. Take a look or google "pneumoscopy." Take care -
