pertussis ruled out with a s/l declan/decon swab - starstruck

This is a consult for a baby with a bad cough. Doc says, "We are ruling out pertussis with the aid of a s/l declan/decon swab." This could be a proper name, or maybe two things, but the only thing I could find that began with a "D" sound was DFA and that's not it. Any ideas?
