I'm at a dead end. Can someone please help?
This patient has infection in wound of her index finger.
The doctor first says, "The patient was started on empiric antibiotics, and her intraoperative cultures have since grown out Streptococcus pneumoniae." Then he says that isn't correct and changes it to "Streptococcus VC"
Has anyone know what this might be. Sound like he is saying "VC" but could possibly be "PC." I just wish he would have expanded the abbreviation. I seached in my books and on the internet with different combinations, and I come up with nothing for this. Thanks for your help.
