The dictator clearly states "red robin catheter." I can find red rubber, red Robinson, and red rubber Robinson, but no red robin.

I've heard that many, many times in 32 years. My guess is that "red rubber Robinson catheter" is a real mouthful, so they say "red Robin catheter" to make it easier or just "red Robin." We cannot confirm everything and sometimes just have to type what the doctor says; as long as we verify with seasoned MTs that we are hearing it clearly. Thousands of doctors have used this term for many decades and they bear the responsibility for their choice of words. The hospitals have accepted it and we are safe in using it.
Reading about Landmark made me realize I don't recall seeing a post from HappyMT Robin for ages now. I used to really enjoy her posts, and she just seems to have disappeared into obscurity.
