No sweats with feeds? - Cheesey

Posted: Sep 18, 2011

I'm doing an ER report on a child with shortness of breath.

The doctor is doing the review of systems section and under cardiac, he says something that sounds like "No sweats with feeds".

Has anybody seen this before? Or think it's something different? Or if that's correct, what is that an indicater of?

I would listen for "fatigue" ...can you make that out of it? - nm

Fairly certain it's not fatigue.

Doing another report and this doctor says what sounds like no "sweating while feeding" .

And this is in a person who IS experiencing fatigue.

Could be sweats with feeds (sm) - AnaPhylaxis

Feeding is an exertional activity for an infant, so I would assume this very well could be tantamount to an adult patient being diaphoretic with exertional activity; I've never heard this particular phrase, but I can indeed see where, in the proper context, it could make sense.
