Medicines - Pat46

Posted: Aug 26, 2010

I'm stuck on two medicaitons and the doctor is foreign with a fairly thick accent. He is a pulmonologist and is doing a consultation. They sound like calceta named potassium and sequelted. Anybody have any ideas? I don't see anything close on her med sheet in her chart. Thanks for any help you can provide.

There is a calcium supplement called Calcet. - sm

If he is listing the meds and the patient has a history of psychiatric problems, Seroquel is an anti-psychotic. Otherwise, the designation of Sequel also can refer to a supplement that is time-released, and potassium does come in that form as well.

My shot-in-the-dark guess would be Calcet, unnamed (brand) potassium sequel, if the patient does not have history of psychiatric illness.
