[ In Reply To ..]is my Stedman's, one for every speciality. So much easier to look something up than "guessing" on the internet. Of course, when I started there was no internet, so that is how I learned. Also, I think you remember things better if you physically look it up.

[ In Reply To ..]Really, you don't have to keep upgrading the terminology word books, so this doesn't have to be expensive. Terminology in terms of diseases, infections, etc.,really does not change much. Surgical equipment and drugs do, so I'm more likely to update those, but most of my Stedman's are probably 5 years old, some 10, and they're still useful. My Infectious Disease book that helped this poster is from 2002!

Elderly patient who has MRSA pneumonia except that she doesn't. After listing MRSA in the discharge diagnosis, doc says, "It is unlikely that MRSA was the main s/l coriko causing the pneumonia." Then he says, "At this point, patient will have corondaysation/comondaysation with MRSA." Help, please?? ...
