OP stated p.o. not IV and she didn't mention mg/kg was dictated. My drug reference mentions gabapentin comes in doses from 100-800 mg. It does not mention usual IV doses so can't say there. Again this is a child, so don't know usual doses for children either. Again, I say leave a blank.

I know you were only trying to help, but next time make mention that you are making suggestion (?, could it be, etc.) You, I, and the OP seem to know we need to exercise due diligence, but you'd be surprised at how many newbies might take your answer at face value and transcribe what you posted. A disaster waiting to happen by the uninitiated.
