Cardiovascular help, please - Just Me

Posted: Dec 07, 2010

This is an ESL dictator, a very good one, but she uses a phrase in the cardiovascular portion of the physical exam that even has QA stumped.  It is:

"Cardiovascular:  S1, S2, _____ 0."  To me, it sounds like "plus 0."

Any idea what she might be saying?

It could be plus 0 - meaning s/m

there is no S3, S4, or murmur heard. I have heard that before. But I would not guess if you are not sure.

I have never heard that and can't reference it anywhere. If QA gives you a reference, can you share it? I would like to learn about this.

thanks

I think "zero" is "there are" (no murmurs, rubs, or gallops).

S1, S2 positive. There are no.... - .
