Cardiology expert needed! Heart sounds question - Nori

Posted: Sep 26, 2014

"S1 single s/l ops in S2"

Hoping a crackjack cardiology MT will know this. Doc is ESL so it might even be something like "opposite" but am hoping someone will know.  Thanks.

Could he be saying "absent S2?" - mt12

Absent S2.

Physiologically split or split S2? n/m - CARDMT

[ In Reply To ..]
N/M

Thanks for both suggestions - Nori

Either suggestion could be what he is saying, although I'm leaning toward "absent" only because there seems to be more an "ah" sound at the beginning whereas "split" would have more of an "s" sound. I'm going to leave a blank and get a 4th opinion. Thank you both for your input. (Sometimes I can't believe we're here talking about some foreign guy's speech patterns, but I guess that's the name of the game these days ;-)) Have a good day you two!

Red Blood Cell Expert Needed!

ESL doc is giving a report on red blood cells.  He says:  "There are no fragmented or s/l destructive/destructed cells and no s/l hammer/halma cells, either, only polychromatic." I am at a loss. I'm wondering if hammer/halma is helper cell, but I really don't know. Anyone? ...

Oh wow... the board looks different. Anyways, I have a term that I have never heard of regarding a woman giving birth and it is talking about the baby's heart. Expert Opinions On Online Schools Please
Jan 07, 2015

I need some expert opinions please on online schools for both coding and billing courses for my daughter. She is looking into Andrews, Keiser, Rasmussen and Ashworth. We do understand these are separate courses, billing and coding. She is leaning toward Keiser University because they offer financial aid and assistance, however it is expensive. We have read the excellent reviews about Andrews but worry about no financial aid such as grants or student loans. Any help or opinions would be greatly a ...

Proper Use Of Possessives, Need An Expert Grammar Opinion
Dec 17, 2012

Several years ago, Book of Style made the recommendation to drop the possessive form for names of tests, diseases, etc. - i.e., Alzheimer's disease is now Alzheimer disease BUT is Alzheimer's when standing alone, i.e., I have Alzheimer's (disease implied but not written) and most facilities have since adopted this practice. That said, if a doctor refers to an instrument such as Metzenbaum scissors, there is no possessive used....but if doctor says "I used the Metzenbaum's ...
