TASP HELP!!! - ctype1

Posted: Aug 06, 2012

Hi -

I have been using the Emdat platform for over a year and have no problems with it except for one thing - cost!  It seems like it is eating so much into my profits.

What other TASPs are out there?  Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Cathy

You are already saving up to 35%, so figure the costs you are not paying MTs to pay for the platform. Honesty, I think they should be paid for this to make up for account setup and such. I pay for everything, templates, headers/footers, etc. Do your clients insist on a platform or can you just use Word and FTP reports?

They don't care and are not really using the platform to its best....hence the loss of $$$ profit.

What about My Docs Online?

Are you using TASP just for transfer of files?

If yes, then dump EMDAT and go the FTP route. If you want the process semi-automated, then try DocShuttle. Your MTs will operate DocShuttle Client and you will operate DocShuttle Administrator.

I use Emdat working for a service and really enjoy it, but if you are not utilizing the features, it is just too costly. Switch to Word and FTP. I recently began using My Docs Online for my private accounts and I really like it. My clients do too.

BTW, about the comment regarding Emdat not paying for things like demographics, headers, etc., that is set up by the person/service using it. My service happens to pay for everything, so it really depends on how it is set up by the person/service, not a blanket issue with Emdat.

Anyone know of a low-cost call-in??
Call-in Dictation with excellent technical support - just me #1

DigiTel dictation system, which consists of 5 components, each you can chose to purchase or not. DigiTel (the call-in system), DigiScribe (wav player, Report Genie (billing software, and DigiAlert (gives you email alerts when dictations come in, which you can configure), and FTP Magic (love this!). You can configure each dictator differently, customizing to their needs. Technical support is fabulous! Fully expandable system. A 4-port is less than $2000.

TASP Or FTP?
Aug 14, 2012

Good morning everyone! I just started work with a new company as an employee and will be doing part office work and part transcription.   They did say I could do the transcription part at home if there was a way for the doctors (3) to transfer voice files.    Only problem being one likes to call in using her telephone.......this has got me confused because with one using a telephone to call in dictation, wouldn't there be a need to have both an FTP site and a small ...

TASP - Used Medikin For Years

I used Medikin for years and loved it although it was very expensive, and I have not used a TASP in recent years as my needs changed with the economy.  I am looking into using one again for some new clients - does anyone have any recommendations of services currently offering TASP services?  Thanks!   ...
