Petition to Improve conditions and pay within MTSOs

We are petitioning MTSOs to improve working conditions and pay for MTs and ICs. We are also calling upon AHIMA, AHDI, CHIMA, AHA, AMA and its Canadian counterparts, and labor relations organizations to require MTSOs to support our requests. We further ask them to only support and patronize MTSOs that have improved working conditions, performance measurement best industry practice such as outlined by AHDI, fair and equitable compensation, and keeping medical records in the United States/Canada for its workers rather than offshoring. The petition may be signed with your name or anonymously. We invite and encourage you to sign and forward the petition link to your social and professional networks to increase awareness of the issue, gain consumer support against offshoring, and gather more signatures to support the petition. While many think this is an inevitable situation that can't be changed, there are indications that the burden and costs of EHR documentation and editing by care providers themselves, the quality and privacy issues with offshoring, along with a resurgence of support for U.S.-based labor lend itself to change. We can no longer silently look the other way, accepting the situation as inevitable when it isn't, and doesn't need to be. Together we can make a difference!
