Mt professionals - transcriptionst

Has anyone heard of MT Professionals and if so has it been a good experience for you.  I have been on this online program part-time forever (3 years) and you have to pass three consecutive tests with one error to move on to paid work.  I have not succeeded as of yet and am getting really frustrated.  It does not count as experience although you we are typing clinic notes and consultations.  I am not sure it has been worth my while.  Let me know if you have any type of knowledge with this program.  Appreciated.

I have an important question for you - sm

So are you doing live work for this company and they are calling it a school? I'm afraid you may have been taken. It sounds very much like a company that changes its name constantly. I don't know, but it doesn't sound good from the way you described it.

Is this some type of "school" or company? - sm

Either way, this sounds like a no win situation no matter how you look at it. Have you been transcribing for this "company" for three years with no compensation? Again, we need more information, IMO.

I am sorry, but it reeks of "scam" to me. Do they use the SUM program? How many hours of actual physician dictation (not scripts read by actors) do you do? How comprehensive is it? I say, go to Andrews or M-TEC.

Has Anyone Taken The "Coding For Healthcare Professionals"

I've been looking around at different courses, and this one has peaked my interest.  It seems to be comparable to the course offered by AHIMA.  I would really like to hear from anyone who has actually taken the course and not just opinions of those who haven't taken it.  It's a lot more afforable than Andrews, but I just don't know if the course is sufficient to allow me to pass an exam to become credentialed.  http://codingforhcp.com/ ...
