What do you all think about "Ask Vern"? - Been around for years

I'm seriously considering using the "Ask Vern" feature on the MModal home page to "ask Vern" where the work is. So far I have received one e-mail from my TSM in the West Region regarding the lack of work, this dated February 20. Also included in that e-mail was the warning that schedules would have to be changed. However, there's no work nights or weekends either, so I don't see that as a solution. Since we are getting no feedback at the TSM level about what's going on, I wonder what would happen if I did send the e-mail to "Vern" and cc it to my TSM. What do you think?

Do it. Bet you dont hear from Vern, but this will MAYBE - get a response from TSM. nm

They bank on no one saying anything for fear of losing what little work they have..I firmly believe TSMs assign work based on whatever criteria they use..there is no way there is no work out there, are they overhired sure..are they outsourced, yup...When I am ready to retire my attitude will change drastically just biding my time

I can see people's routing, and from what I can see, you are set up for certain pools and if there is work in those pools, you get it. TSMs are not randomly assigning each and every job. I haven't seen anyone's pooling that looked like they've been purposely shut out.

I was shut out and TSM said she didnt know why - but it does happen

This was over the holidays, there was little work at all, I was shut out, called repeatedly and sent emails, and finally got it fixed. No explantation was given, just that I was blocked from receiving work.

If you had to get it fixed - then it must have been a glitch

if you want to believe that your TSM has it in for you I'm sure I can't convince you otherwise.

I would be emailing EVERYONE I could find an address for!

If you want work start emailing your VP. Explain that you have followed protocol and gone to your TSM and you are now coming to him. Copy and paste those emails from your TSM and ask for an explanation. See if they are transferring MTs to other regions or BOBs. Keep asking and keep documenting. Give it a few days and then go over the VP's head. Someone will answer. There is work. They may have to shuffle people around or you may have to train on a new platform but there is work. Stupid that we have to ask for work, but that is apparently the game. It is much easier if the MTs get frustrated and just quit.

Ask Vern is a waste of time. He never answers. I am sure those emails go straight to the delete file. Vern will not get you work nor does he care who has work or has been out of work.

He is not going to care about us that's for sure. If this company did care it would be a better place to work
