No jobs available. SA5 area. Still cannot - get into backlog either.

An email from manager stated it could take a couple of weeks to get backlog because each name has been put in separately for the backlog.

WHATEVER!!!!

NO WORK. Only doing my accounts and BOB is low. No more PTO time to take. I am screwed. HATE THIS JOB!!! Trying to take some college classes this summer.

Oh, forgot, this is my 8th time in 3 weeks! - This is a short month!

Have not made 24 hours each week for the last month. No PTO time and I work a split shift. Even ran out of work in the evening twice. Changed my hours to work mostly evening 2 years ago and still look what happens! Been an MT for 25 years and it each year it just sucks and sucks and gets worse each year. A shortage of MT's? BULL CRAP I say. Just some of us are smarter and moving on to a different career. I look back over the years and I see all my friends getting pensions, retirement plans, free airline passes, etc. What do I get with this profession? NOTHING, but maybe bankruptcy while I get to watch the higher ups make MILLIONS!!

They just switched us to SW, but we may still have the west area too - who knows, we can't get into the backlog.

No work here either, and tomorrow night we night workers will lose another 4 hours due to maintenance. Again, no hope in catching up. Sympathy for the OP, I'm in the same boat. :-(

I spoke with my regional team lead yesterday and mentioned that I see so many people saying that have NJA and was told that their RTL should be called right away and it is their job to make sure you get work within 5 minutes. May not be your primary or what you may consider cesspool but it's work.

I'm in SA5 and I have never been told who our RTL is! How are we supposed to contact them if nobody told us who they are?

I have always worked for local hospitals and doctor's offices. I have never worked through a company, but with most of our local area switching to VR I am having to look to companies for work. In our local area our transcriptionists usually are paid about 12 cents per line, but I am noticing most companies pay is substantially lower as i saw an ad for Sten Tel paying only 5-6 cpl. Maybe it's the head cold I'm fighting, or lack of coffee, but, for the life of me, I can't think what this ESL doc (who speaks distinctly) is talking about when he says, "inflamed-appearing ADI in the rectum."
