MM audits: Since when is it an error to use a comma to separate - sm

Posted: Nov 12, 2014

two independent clauses?!  I get it that it's now acceptable to just omit the comma so that people don't have to learn the punctuation rules or make an extra keystroke just for a comma, but if you feel like going out of your way to do it correctly, how on earth is it an error....?  Where do they get these auditors?

I hate the "dumming down" of the English language in order - sm

I understand. The same thing happened to me. I guess you have to find something on someone all the time to make them feel like they are not worth anything. It is getting old fast.

As I have said before - sm

this place is like an abusive relationship..They beat you down so you have no confidence to even look for another job, let alone leave..

ha, my understanding is that they are getting their auditors - from India

That would explain why they don't know our basic punctuation rules! - nm

...that you should ALWAYS take responsibility for your own audit and never, EVER just assume the Auditor is correct and never makes mistakes because they do - LOTS of them. I myself have had audit mistakes overturned because they heard the dictation wrong, or because something was considered subjective.

If you feel you have been dinged incorrectly on an audit, send it to your quality coach right away and let them challenge it for you. Sometimes, challenging and winning a reversal can be the difference between passing and failing but it's YOUR responsibility to manage/challenge/review your audits, and yours alone.

Audits - How Can You Get A "critical" Error And Still Get 99.3% On An Audit, Thereby
Sep 11, 2011

barely scraping by and passing according to MQ?  I just received an audit that had a score of 99.3%.   I'm told I passed the audit but got a critical error (left out a word) so she will need to do another audit next week.  Fine. But how can I get a critical error (in their eyes anyway) and still "pass" the audit?  More importantly, does anyone know if my pay is going to be docked because of this critical error, or do you just have to get 99% period.   TIA ...

Santyl And SensiCare Are Two Separate Things, Correct?

Comma Placement?

I get these types of sentences constantly and always question my comma placement. "We will see her back in the office following her injection and if she does not improve, we would consider surgical intervention at that time." My question is whether there should be a comma either before or after "and." I know a comma needs to separate 2 independent clauses but the introductory phrase in the second clause throws me off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :) ...

Comma After Dates

I always put commas after the year when I worked at home. Now I work outside the home and I'm confused about it. Everything here is in a different format and I'm just not sure.  I found a post on here from August about it but still not sure what to do. TIA ...
