Look at the rest of this site. You could probably subsitute most other MTSOs for MQ and get similar complaints about off shoring and paycuts. Yet you're still here.

The new changes have 2 positive benefits.

I ewas scared xcrementless last year that MQ was going to turn us ALL into MMEs at 3 cpl.

(1) Now those poor QAs and CTLs who HAD to become MMEs are essentially MTs with the same risks as the rest of us.

(2) Now I no longer have to send reports to QA for static and bad sound quality.

If you really think you have to guess to get lots and lots of terms that you can HEAR clearly, you don't belong in the MT business. You probably don't leave MQ because you're not good enough to find another MT job.

The blanks go to whom they deserve. Let them figure it out.

This is just like when everyone was whining about the cesspool; they took it away and everybody whined about NJA.

Everyone was whining about MMEs; they essentially take that away, and YOU STILL FIND SOMETHING TO WHINE ABOUT.

they laid everyone off and sent all the work to India, eerily reminiscent to current events. Enjoy it all while it lasts, but don't bash those who are upset about what's happening and what's coming.

It won't be the first (and probably not the last) job I'll lose. Maybe if people would do something productive about their situation instead of this incessant whining and complaining, they could improve their situation. It works for me.

Still here, but almost done with school. - After 25 years, I know when to leave.

Yep, after being here with the same company, I am leaving once school is finished. Almost there. I had to go back to college to do something else because I know when I see a dead end, especially with THIS company. I cannot say too much for other companies because I have been with this same one since the day I was out of college for this career and what kills me, MQ does not even know I have been with them from the beginning. They do not even know others have too!

My doctor has been using EPIC for the last 5 years and most Providence facilities have including all their specialists, OR, ER, DS summaries, etc.

This "poor QA and CTL" did what she had to to keep her salary at the same level as 3 years earlier. I'm the sole support for my family. It's a shame you have such ire for the QA, who sometimes spend a half hour correcting a 200-second report because it is all blanks with perhaps 10 words sprinkled in. You should be absolutely thrilled to know that, despite my best efforts, even though in a normal situation, one's pay at least slightly increases over the years with a company, mine has now decreased by an average of 300 dollars per pay period - average. Also, you don't have a very good understanding of an MME making 3 cpl. While it's true that sometimes a document has more blanks than words, it's also true that some documents are much longer, with maybe 1 blank, and MMEs are paid at 3 cpl for every single line in the report. The bulk of my income is from the MME work, but I'm glad you feel that way; the fewer MMEs, the better.

I said it was a GOOD thing it appears MQ is no longer having MMEs. The only people doing it are those who were forced into it, and I'm glad they are getting rid of it or at least routing fewer jobs that way. My greatest fear was that they were going to make us all MMEs. I think it was a terrible thing to do to people, and much as everyone seems to hate this new system, I think it will be better for the MMEs. I have sent many many jobs through QA which were just completely unintelligible. Now neither you nor I will have to waste any more time on those types of reports. What is it, do people just come to this board to be offended and fight with everybody. I've never seen to much antagonism and misunderstanding in my life as on this board. I'm not looking for fights, I have too much work to do to waste my time with all the nonsense here. In 3-4 yrs, I can recall only 5 pieces of useful information I ever got on this waste of Internet space.
