The whole purpose is for your own benefit to help your PTO rate. I sure don't have a problem with it.
As far as the PTO rate issue, in the end, it all averages out. You work 80 hours a pay period. - sm

So unless you plan to sit at your desk a lot more hours clocking in and out, worrying about the pay for a few days of PTO, it's pretty irrelevant. I'm not stressing that much over it or wasting that much time. I'll put in my 80 hours a pay period and let the chips fall where they may. I have a life & am not going to be chained to this desk 12 hours a day yet technically clocked in for only 8 of them because I'm trying to up a PTO rate. I think the only way any of that makes any difference is maybe if you work part-time. For the rest of us, not so much. I'll keep working as long as the reports are trickling in, and I'm certainly not clocking out every time I get up to stretch my legs or go to the bathroom like someone on here suggested.
thats what u r supposed to do, clock out if not - typing and that is every

time not typing, which stretches your 8 hours to 9 hours and more if you have nja unless you opt out with or without pay. If you r on hourly pay then you end up working 9-10 hours a day to get those 8 hours due to clockingout for whenever you r not typing.
The NJA policy is not new. She sent a 'clarification' for people who - were not doing it right. NM
They should provide work and avoid the NJA situation - just saying
[ In Reply To ..]
Yeah I got the memo too. If they would provide work or schedule properly or lay off then they would not have to keep sending out reminders on how to fill out NJA tickets.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda. They need to do a lot of things - they dont. And they NEVER lay off. nm
Then eliminate the schedules and let us go back to statuatory status - just saying

They felt compelled to lock us into schedules that have no work anyway so they could control the TAT better. Why not just pay us on production again and let us work without the schedule? Most don't have benefits anyway.
Are you kidding? You think they would take chance, w/o - schedules, of over due TAT?? SM

THey have to have schedule staffed, whether work available or not, just in case some jobs come through. They are not about to give up the control they have over us with the schedules for fear some shifts would never have MTs working. They have to have a warm body available at all time, no exception.
Just offer more money - just saying

They could get those shifts covered by offering a higher line rate. Many people would work those shifts for an extra amount per line plus a real production bonus. Besides if the company was not paying benefits it would probably wash.
Plus with Obamacare kicking in next year I am sure the company is looking at how to cut us down to less than 32 anyway to avoid paying benefits.
Amy said we will never be paid more. They will never lay-off. - They will never get rid of SM

scheduled employees, which give them as much control of us as they can get. This is about MM getting the most work for the least money paid out. Get used to is.
Lay OFF - Kathy

Layoff - are you kidding they have had several and if you dont get laid off they let you go, they have done that to people who have been there 19 years. This company is scamming people.
they dont have warm bodies available at all times - I leave if I get NJA to other job!

I am not sitting around waiting. If I get NJA, I go to my second job. If they cant give me work when I start, tough luck. I hope it builds a backlog. Then the abbreviation wont get the bonus! If we have no check, they shouldn't either.
Oh, so you are the only one working at that time and if you - leave, there is nobody else to SM

to any jobs that show up??? Go ahead and leave for NJA, it is allowed and for times of low volume, it is not a problem. But with higher volumes, they need scheduled employees to be there.
Higher volumes? What is that? - just saying
[ In Reply To ..]
Low volumes and NJA since October. The work is not picking up. Excuse after excuse including holidays, storms, etc. Pretty soon it will be spring break then Easter. They are not planning on higher volumes because they are shipping off shore as fast as they can. 500 jobs in an entire region does not mean high volumes.
Whatever. They need coverage for any job that comes in. - &some have plenty of work. Just sayin, too. nm
If there were higher volumes, there would be no NJA. - huh?!

What you said doesn't make much sense. Guess you must be on accounts that actually have work - maybe the rare accounts that are USA only, or maybe the accounts that haven`t gone to ILP _yet_. At the pitiful pay for ASR, it`s _almost_ hard to believe ILP is cheaper.
Your point? Posts about not paying more and not doing away - with schedules. What did you read? nm
Concerning annuloplasty rings... I am currently transcribing a document that references "annuloplasty rings, one and two." Do annuloplasty rings have types or classes? If so, how is it transcribed. Annuloplasty rings I and II, Annuloplasty rings 1 and 2, or Annuloplasty rings one and two. HELP! SOS! LOL... I am so confused.

happens right after you upload a job and right before you get the "spellcheck complete" message? I know someone described how to stop that sound before but I can't find it.
I would be so appreciative if someone could let me know.......this thing is driving me CRAZY.
Thanks! :) ...
