So cute.... - NCMT

Posted: Oct 05, 2011

One of my doctors has a pet duck, and I hear it quacking in the background sometimes.  At first, I wasn't sure if it was a toy, because I also hear children sometimes, but for sure it is a duck....Awwwwwww......

Love it when my docs do something to remind me they are human, like babies crying in the background or children playing.....

I love it when the doctors start up a dictation and they're in the middle of laughing about something. And every time I'm extremely curious to know what they're laughing about.

It must have been homework time at one doctor's house one night - she was dictating and softly in the background you could hear one of her kids practicing the clarinet. It was a little distracting (though not in a bad way) because it was a piece I played in high school too so I was kinda humming along.

He was in the car, on the cell phone with his kids screaming about how they wanted ice cream. He finally told them to shut up and he would get them some. OML!!!!

It makes me laugh when the doctors have off the wall ringtones too. I had a Middle Eastern doctor who had some funky Bollywood type ringtone. It cracked me right up! I had another doctor that seemed really strait-laced and stuffy and his was Garth Brook's "I've Got Friends in Low Places." LOL!!!

NCMT you want human? you can have my - mt3

I Always Thought It Was Cute To Spell A Child's Name Different
Mar 22, 2013

I had to TYPE them, OMG!  I type for a pediatric clinic and these name spellings are outrageous!  The way my platform works, I type in the patient's name the way it sounds and after the dictation is done a search list comes up and I am ALWAYS having to go back and change the spelling I gave.  I used to think it was all cute to spell a child's name different, but now if another, I may name her "Mary" LOL.  I just typed on a kid named Jacob, but of course it was spell ...
