I have a general question for working as employee status. I know everyone's answer will be different depending on which company. I've been an MT for 15 years always as an IC and never could get myself to take an employee status job even having been offered several because the pay was too low, but something to consider as there aren't many companies to pick from anymore. My other option is to just chuck all this and do something else.
How do health benefits work for employees if employees are in different states? Do you basically get an allowance for the premium and you choose your own. Also, is anyone's benefit choices/rates being impacted by Obamacare. Another question is how does this work with holiday/vacation pay? Is there a set hourly pay for those days? If you don't meet your quota during your shift, can you work extra? It sounds like from what I've read a lot of people aren't getting enough work but yet I see companies hiring people.
