And yes, the similarities were amazing. So here's what I don't get: Why does a fast food chain warrant investigation, and yet the MTSO's just slither happily along, with no government or labor watchdog questioning what they're doing?

So I would not think it would benefit ICs, but I bet employees could sue.

Also, I don't think most are told what free labor they are required to do until after they are hired by the MTSO.

I am not a lawyer. However, I think read something somewhere sometime that for people who work at home, the time they spend waiting for work is, IN THEORY, personal time where they can accomplish something they want to/need to get done that is not for their employer's benefit.
