So, I've been with the same company for almost 4 years now. I lease a pedal from them, part of my contract. Every month for almost 4 years, they've deducted 30.00 for said lease. I could have purchased many pedals for this cost. Should I or should I not be reimbursed above the cost of the pedal, which I have clearly paid for by now. TIA!

Why didn't you ask this question after about 4 months of paying this $30. Why did you wait 4 YEARS?? You can ask for reimbursement, but doubtful it will happen. I would most certainly, however, tell them to stop charging you!

I don't see how you could get reimbursement from the company for the lease fee. By now, you should have claimed that expense on 4 years of income tax returns. In the eyes of the IRS, that is your reimbursement because it resulted in lower taxes paid.

How to proceed from here is up to the wording of your contract. Does it allow that the fee ends when/if you return the foot pedal? Is it a contract that self-renews on an annual basis and you have to wait until you have a new contract?

What does your contract say about it?

Did you know you can buy them online, fairly cheaply? What company LEASES a FOOTPEDAL to its employees?

Wow, they are definitely taking $$ from you. I bought a brand new one recently for $50.....and have had many of them for not much more than that. Thirty dollars a month x 4 years is $1440.00....that's A LOT OF $$ for a pedal.....
