You have work, how can it be that bad? Think back to the Q (my left eye starts pulsating just thinking about it) and remember exactly what it was like. Dont know how long you have been gone, but it is getting worse. I have been getting weekly "client audits" and amazingly they are all 20 lines and under and I fail each one. I guess my ticket out will be delivered rapidly.
I feel badly for you. How could anywhere be worse than here?
I do think back to the Q and wonder why I ever - wannie

left. I jumped from the frying pan into the fire. Oh yeah, I have work, plenty of work, but some of the worst dictators I have EVER had which, of course, makes production hard to make. On top of that, we have this really stupid tiered pay, certain # of lines = one scale, less lines (even if because of using PTO)= less money. Really, really stinks.
then come back - better than MTing

I don't think you would even have to reapply.

The job I had before MT paid circa $120K per year. I absolutely detested it and would have preferred swishing toilets. However, I was stuck, trying to ride out my 30 years.
MT for me only pays about 20% of that salary that I had, but I do not have to put up with unmitigated BS from literally thousands of different people every year. I do not have to work 40 hour weekends any more nor do I have to get jazzed up with nylons, heels, makeup, and commute to work in rush hour traffic.
I actually like MT work. It tremendously less stressful and has very little hassles. My work is my own, and I can now take credit for 100% of what I do versus some BS "team" concept that my previous job had me doing. The stress for MT work is nothing compared to what I did before, and I do not have to put up with lazy people riding on my wave of success and getting paid from the fruits of my labor.
Yes. I feel more like I'm working for the UN - Old and Tired MT

I'm so sick of all these Indians, Arabs, Vietnamese, Chinese, etc. who can't speak proper English besides working for less than minimum wage. They keep putting more and more on VR so my paycheck continues to go down. There is no way you can do twice as much with VR, no matter what the "suits" think. Some reports require so much correction that it would be easier to just type the whole thing myself. Scrubbing toilets or flipping burgers is looking better all the time.
wouldn't have to go far, I already work in one. - 0-message

this job has turned into a thankless piece job with management who thinks so little of us they can't even acknowledge the fact that we aren't paid enough.
I'll leave within 2 years. And good riddance to this nut factory - the whole industry will be gone in 10 years. Especially after malpractice lawsuits nationwide reflect Californis' new law - capped at 250,000.
I have never seen such greed and so little gratitude (no bonuses, no raises, no differential, substandard benefits and with the top executives and management receiving compensation for telling us to work harder for less.

Repeat To: MT Profession Vs. Cleaning Toilets. Oct 18, 2011See, this is a perfect example. Great!! - So we have people willing to make the same amount doing medical transcription as cleaning toilets. That makes me feel better after 15 years of experience. No wonder this profession is in the toilet. They hire people with 1 year of experience and Cbay "stipens" their people for 6 months only then puts them in a production environment. Good luck to patients getting accurate medical records is all I can say. This will not go over in the longrun, guaranteed. ...
