CPL for independents - fitlady

Posted: Feb 22, 2010

I currently work as an IC for a company, but have been approached by a local doctor's office to do some work for them.  They have been left high and dry by a coordinator and the person now in charge has no idea what they were paying, but just needs somebody to do their work.  I have only worked for transcription companies and have no idea what the going rate (CPL) is to work directly for the clinic.  I'm in Georgia.

Any help??  Thanks!

and charge it. If you feel it may be too high, let them know you'd negotiate it.

Or take what you make as an IC and add 5 cpl.

OR call around to other offices and ask what they pay.

OR call around to some of the MT services in your area and pretend you're a potential client.
